Operator-built situational awareness for public safety
BabbarOps gives every role — patrol, command, tactical, investigations, and leadership — one shared live picture during an incident, so decisions are made on what’s actually happening, not on what someone remembers or relayed.
What BabbarOps is
BabbarOps unifies live video from drones, helicopters, fixed cameras, and witness phones with a live-synced incident command workspace — one operational picture, from first response through resolution. The platform has two core systems:
- Live Command — the live streaming layer. A real-time, multi-source video wall that ingests UAS, helicopter, and camera feeds and delivers them to everyone with a need to know. EyesOn extends this to witness and field-officer phones — a time-limited browser link, one tap, live on the command wall with no app required.
- Incident Command — the incident management layer. A live-synced shared workspace where every role tracks resources, assignments, perimeter, intel, and status from first response through resolution. The moment anyone updates it, everyone sees the change.
BabbarOps is live-only by design. Video is transmitted and displayed live; it is not recorded or retained by the platform. Each agency’s existing evidence and records system stays the system of record.
Why it was built
BabbarOps was built after commercial systems failed during live operations — including an incident where commanders lost situational awareness mid-operation because the broadcast hardware dropped the feed. The cause is structural: broadcast encoders are designed for stable RF environments and reliable cell coverage. Field operations have neither. When signal degrades, legacy feeds drop at the worst possible time.
The platform was designed for those conditions — adaptive streaming that auto-tunes quality as bandwidth shifts, signal-health indicators that warn before a feed fails, and a weak-uplink mode that keeps video usable when legacy systems go dark.
The team
BabbarOps was co-founded by a 14-year law enforcement veteran and active patrol sergeant who led a public safety UAS team, and a distributed-systems engineer with 20+ years building real-time infrastructure at scale. One lived the failure firsthand. The other built the fix to production-grade standards. Together they cover every role in the operational workflow — from pilot to incident commander to platform engineer.
Field validation
BabbarOps has been validated in real operations — across multiple critical incidents, ICAC operations, and SWAT deployments, ranging from 30-minute callouts to operations lasting more than eight hours. When broadcast hardware failed mid-incident, operators switched to BabbarOps and command maintained full situational awareness through resolution.
